More Packing Progress

Look at my basement!

Actually, I take no credit for this.  Bruce packed up the entire room yesterday and then cleaned it so we could start storing boxes there.

I take credit for this ...

My desk still needs to be cleaned off and out (and there are some miscellaneous papers on the floor), but other than that that room is good to go.

Most importantly ...

When we moved up from Atlanta, we fit everything into a 14 foot truck.  I'm ashamed to admit that we are ordering a 20 foot truck for our move to Rehoboth.  Here is the list of furniture that we've acquired since moving ...
  • 1 queen sized bed
  • 1 couch/chair/ottoman set
  • My grandfather's (solid oak, absolutely huge) desk and chair
  • 4 dining room chairs
  • 1 coffee table
We are also most likely going to get a new dining room table and chairs and an upright piano from some friends of ours.  I can't wait to really set up and get settled in our new house!

I used the leftovers from last night's dinner to make another taco salad for lunch today ...

There was some rice in the fridge so I threw that in too!

I have a busy night ahead of me.  My dad's cast has their annual "picture night".  My dad writes up a list of moments in the show that he wants to capture and the cast moves through the show, freezing at each of those moments.  My dad usually takes the first photo and then parents jump in if they want them.

Well this year my dad asked me to take the photos!  Those of you who know my dad know what a big deal this is.  He's really picky about how they turn out so I was shocked when he asked!  Hopefully I'll do a good job. :)

Have a great day!

  1. Danngg, girl you're a packing machine!! Good job!

Awesome taco salad. It reminds me of the kind they served us in elementary school. That sounds bad, but it was honestly the best taco salad I've had to date.

Good luck at picture night. Sounds like lots of fun, but no pressure. :)

  3. Nice work! I'm impressed how quickly you've packed things up! I'm still trying to figure out how best to move everything from one coast to the other, maybe Pods?

We call that photo call, do y'all? It can be dreadful if it's a huge cast haha!
