I am so full right now.
My sweet friends Maura, Lou and Eric invited us and two other friends up to their house for dinner tonight. And this wasn't just dinner - this was an Italian feast! Maura even makes her own sauce! I thought "making your own sauce" meant adding seasoning to the sauce you get out of a jar?
Oh my goodness. Salad with fresh dressing, garlic bread that Helen brought and a never-ending bowl of pasta. I had sort of an out of body experience at one point - I was sitting around a table with some amazing people, laughing hysterically and I felt like I was in a scene out of Eat, Pray, Love. I feel so ridiculously blessed right now.
I'm telling you - good friends are good for the soul.
Oh - and Maura took me grocery shopping. In her pantry. And her freezer.
And sent me home with this.
And leftovers from dinner.
I've said it before and I'll say it again - church families are the best. I hope every single one of you reading this has a group of people taking care of you the way I do right now.
Bruce and I are huddled on the couch under piles of blankets by a roaring fire. It's 3 degrees right now! Brr.
Night!

It was -19 when we woke up!!! I'm not a huge fan of New England right now.
