Chocolatespiration

Look who's helping me write my sermon!

Bruce and I came over to my parent's house so Bruce could watch the UCONN women's game with my dad while I worked on my sermon, so Kaia and I are currently camped out in the guest room working.

Actually, I am working.  Kaia is chasing my chapstick around the room.

Everyone has their own way of helping.

I'm preaching on First Corinthians, so I thought I would do a little bit of research on modern-day Corinth.  It never ceases to amaze me that the cities talked about in the bible still exist today, 2,000 years later, built up around the ruins!  Amazing.  Corinth looks like a pretty spectacular place to visit ...

Maybe someday ... :)

Greece wasn't on the mind of my sister and me this evening, though ... Mexico was!  I ate Mexican at least once a week when we lived in Georgia and I'm going through serious withdrawal.

I made a big Taco Salad with tortilla chips on the bottom, then lettuce, then a layer of chicken and refried beans.  I seasoned the chicken with salt, pepper, chili powder, paprika, garlic and oregano.  It was delicious!  I topped off the salad with cheese, guacamole, sour cream and taco sauce.

No, it probably wasn't healthy.  But I don't care!  Taco Salads are good for the soul.

Some chocolate sermon inspiration.  Chocolatespiration?

Night all!

  1. Yum.... out in AZ you can get real Mexican food! When I lived at home, my Mexican was limited to regular tacos - lettuce, cheese, maybe a little taco sauce. Now? I could eat Mexican just about every day...

  2. I've been to Corinth twice, and it's absolutely amazing! Makes the Bible come to life, you know? :) I did a couple presentations on it in my Christian education classes in college. Love it, love greece:) Good luck!
