Balancing Work & Relationship

Happy Wear a Dress Tuesday!

I'm never sure what to wear during these in-between seasons.  I want so badly for it to be fall but it is still going to be 82 degrees today!  Definitely not sweaters-and-boots-weather.

I woke up this morning feeling worlds better than yesterday!  Bruce had the day off so I slowly got myself ready and made breakfast for the two of us before I left for work.

Egg & Cheese Sandwiches on English Muffins - for two!

These are so simple to make - they literally take me the time it takes for me to toast the English Muffin!  Definitely proof that a good breakfast doesn't require a lot of time.

Speaking of time ... Bruce and I are trying to adjust to our new schedule with him working full-time.  Neither one of us work 9-5 jobs so I've been trying to adjust my time away from the office with his days off.  It's definitely been a challenge, but we're getting there!  Even the little things, like eating breakfast together on days when we won't be able to eat dinner together, make a big difference.

How do you all balance working with relationships?

  1. Once I learned the power of prayer, I am not afraid to go there, when our paths are not crossing for one reason or another. My wife of thirty-two years has been a school teacher while I have done my own retail stores. We both support each other equally in our careers. There are times that it seems like we don't have a lot of quality conversations for a few days, and it doesn't take long for either of us to realize to notice that, and we both make an effort to "get back". Life is not always smooth asphalt. There are bumpy roads along the way. The key, keep you eye on "your prize", remember those vows, and just aim to make the next moment, hour, evening, day, whatever...make it a better one than the one which just occurred. With that in mind, and a few blessings from Our Lord, you'll make it....
Hope that makes sense, or, sort-of answers your question....

Oh ya....remember the milk when she calls and says bring some home...... :)

  2. Did you learn the last one the hard way?

I was just in CT but didn't make it further than Kent. One of these trips I have got to get up to your store!
