We're Having a Heat Waaaaaaaave!

Oh my gosh!  43 degrees!  We haven't seen that number in weeks! Maybe there's hope for my ice skating rink driveway!

Don't ask me why I decided to make soup for lunch during our big February heatwave.  I think I was intrigued by the simplicity of the whole meal.

And the fact that it was 2:00 and all I had eaten all day was a scone.

My mom had given me this can of soup (and another Amy's soup) a few weeks ago.  I'm definitely a fan!  I will have to price them out next time I'm at the grocery store.

My new soup crocks work great!

Bruce was on communion bread duty again this morning, so lunch was served with a side of the leftovers.

I had two cups of coffee at church, but I was craving the flavor of the coffee we have at home right and made a pot.  I did stir some milk into my cup, though.  My goal is always to avoid a coffee-induced ulcer. :)

Three hours until kick off.  GO PACKERS!

(For all of you Steelers fans - we can be friends again tomorrow.)

  1. I've been eating Chili for meals the last few days because it just seems fitting with this nasty weather. Have fun watching the Super Bowl:)

I have always wondered if those Amy's Soups were good!

  3. Hahaha, I called it a heat wave today, too. The 45 degrees felt more like 65 in comparison to all the frigid digits from this winter. Enjoy the beautiful weather! :)

  5. Ooh, I am SUCH a fan of Amy's soups (or really, any Amy's products). If you can get them on sale (and you have it in your budget), stock up!
