But first ...
... as promised, I am back with a step-by-step tutorial in making Black Bean Burgers. This is so easy!
Black Bean Burgers
1/2 cup Black Beans, drained and rinsed
1 tbsp Flour
1/4 tsp Chili Powder
1/4 tsp. Pepper
1/4 tsp. Sea Salt
1/4-1/2 tsp. Water
Start by adding your beans, flour and spices to a bowl.
And MASH!
Haha - get it? MASH? Mobile Army Surgical Hospital? The television show that I've been watching all day?
No?
Unfollow?
::Awkward Silence::
Moving on - Add water as needed!
Then scoop the mixture out of the bowl, form a patty with your hands and throw onto a hot griddle.
When it gets to be a nice crispy golden color, flip and cook.
Melt some cheese on it if you'd like!
I like to serve mine over a salad - but serve it on a hamburger roll if you'd like!
Try it! It's not a replacement for hamburgers, but it's got a neat flavor and is a nice change of pace.
Wish me luck on my cleaning - hopefully I'll see you tonight with a house tour!
Awesome!! I love black bean burgers -- haven't tried making them myself yet.
ReplyDeleteSweet! Thanks for the recipe & step by step! : )
ReplyDeleteI'll make those for Brandon. I'm sure he'll love them! Thanks for sharing ;-)
ReplyDeleteAwesome pictures.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the positive feedback everyone. I've read that Pinto Beans also work well for making bean burgers. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThat burger looks great. I've made hommemade veggie burgers a few times -- they're always delicious, but most days I am lazy and reach for something from the freezer.
ReplyDeleteThis post is a great reminder of how SIMPLE it can be to make your own. Probably more healthy and tasty than from a box too!
Christine, you are so right! And inexpensive too! A can of beans is less than $1 and this will make three or four burgers!
