There's No Place Like Home

Today I am grateful for wireless internet (and the nice man from AT&T who came to fix it), a huge pantry (we can buy groceries in bulk again!), sweet church members who bring us meals (thank you Millie!) and having family nearby (I'm actually currently blogging from my mom's laptop).

Lunch was some of this amazing leftover stew that Millie brought over for Bruce and his family on Sunday night.

Mmm.  I'm going to see if I can get the recipe.

You can't tell from the photo, but there was steam coming off of the stew when I was shooting because of the drastic change in temperature from inside to out.  Y'all it's COLD UP HERE!!!!!

I might get a white Christmas!

My parents invited us over for dinner - look at their tree!

So pretty.  We're hoping to get a tree tomorrow or Friday.

My sister set up her creche at my parent's house because there isn't enough room at her apartment.

I love this time of year.

I started with a glass of red wine.  This is the second to the last bottle of wine from my wedding.  No joke.

Christmas plates!

My dad made fried chicken, au gratin potatoes, cheesy broccoli and rolls for dinner.

It's so nice to eat a homemade meal off of a plate!  No more take out!  No more eating in the car!

And some hot chocolate with whipped cream to top off the night.

Starry Night!  (Actually, without the city lights, I can see stars agin!)

Alright, we're packing up and heading home to tackle a few more boxes before bed.  Goodnight!
