In the spirit of eating at the places I won't be able to soon, I took a familiar walk down to the main part of campus today and got a sandwich from the Boar's Head sandwich bar inside of Cox Hall for lunch.
The clock tower on the top of Cox is one of my favorite parts of Emory's campus.
I used to order these sandwiches a lot when I was stuck on campus for 12-14 hours and couldn't get it together to pack all of my meals before I left.
Turkey and american cheese on whole wheat, loaded with lettuce, tomato, onions and banana peppers. The onions and banana peppers have so much juice and flavor that you really don't need any kind of dressing or condiments. Yum.
The best part? Homemade chips!
This was a register impulse buy. I don't know what happened.
Don't worry, I didn't eat the whole thing. If I had, I probably would be passed out in a sugar coma right about now!
We are wandering Decatur with the Lloyds tonight - I'm excited! Decatur is such a beautiful part of Atlanta and we didn't get there nearly as often as we should have.

Okay, so back to my morning post about my tired eyes. I had enough people tell me that I looked tired throughout the course of the day that I frantically starting googling natural remedies for dealing with the bags under my eyes! So far I've read that freezing tea bags and putting them on your eyes works well - apparently green tea works best? Sarah told me she heard something about caffeine sticks, but that they are expensive. Does anybody else have any natural remedies? I promise I'm getting enough sleep, I just don't LOOK like I am.
At least I think I'm getting enough sleep.
Okay, I'm probably not. But I can't change that! What can we do about my poor eyes? xoxo
Lunch looked yummy! Sorry but I don't have any great suggestions for tired eyes. I look like that a lot and rely heavily on cover up to help me look alive, lol! Hope you're able to get some rest soon and try not to overdo it!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I didn't know you were near Emory! I've probably seen it before on here but never really made the connection. I've never been but I have a few friends that go there. I hear it's absolutely gorgeous. :)
ReplyDeleteIf you find something that works for your eyes pleeeease let me know! I have puffy eyes to begin with so you add a bit of tired bags and oh my! And I don't wear makeup soooo hahah... thankfully the rims of my glasses help to disguise a little!
