Wear a Dress Tuesday and 15 Fun Facts

It's Wear a Dress Tuesday!

I know I probably seem insane for wearing a dress with 3/4-length sleeves in the middle of an Atlanta summer, but this dress is actually really lightweight (and I spend most of my days in the air conditioning anyway!).

Who else wore a dress today?

I was reading Melissa's blog this afternoon and saw that she posted 15 fun facts about herself that other people might not know.  I love learning strange quirks about people, so I thought it would be fun to follow suit and do the same!  So, without further adieu:

15 Things You Never Knew You Wanted to Know About Me

1. I try to eat as healthy as possible, but every now and then the Hungarian in me kicks in and I cook with bacon zsír.

Translation - bacon fat.  Please don't judge me.

2. When I listen to showtunes, nine times out of ten I conduct along.

3. I am brand loyal when it comes to four things - toyota cars, apple computers, canon cameras and jif peanut butter.  Everything else is fair game.

4. I think earrings are the perfect accessory.  They are inexpensive, versatile and never make you look fat.

5. I'm something of a fashion chameleon.  On any given day you can find me in business attire and boots, jeans and flip flops, a dress and heals, leggings and flats or running clothes and sneakers.

6. I love pilates, but have never really shown any interest in yoga.

7. I have a secret crush on Leroy Gethro Gibbs.

Apparently it's not a secret anymore.

8. I don't believe in paying full price for clothing.

9.  When I was in 2nd grade I played Cinderella in our class play.

10. I am an introvert on Myers Briggs.  Most people are shocked when they find this out.

11. My favorite genre of books is memoirs.  I love reading people's stories.

12. I don't like wearing my glasses.  My eye doctor practically has to beg me to give my eyes a break from contacts.

13. My mom is a pastor.

So was my grandfather.

So was my great grandfather.

Take from that what you want.

14. My goal for my last semester of college was to spend as much time with my girlfriends as possible before we all graduated and parted ways.  Two weeks before the semester started I met the man who would eventually become my husband.

What do they say about the best laid plans?

15. My approach to living in my faith is very similar to my approach to learning how to cook:  Tabula Rasa - every day you wake up with a fresh start to try again.

  3. I wore a dress too. It can be seen in the pictures from Court's party last year. Same dress, different day. Wore it because it was WADT even though I had nothing really to dress up for. Also- really love your random things...I wanted more. And I <3 2, because I do it too...with all songs usually.

  4. I love it! You crack me up! For some reason #3 really cracked me up. And we are exactly the same on #12. I wear them at night before bed, that's it. My eye doctor told me i was ruining my eyes... so after that i tried to at least wear them on Saturdays - it doesn't work much, though. LOL.

    LOVE THAT DRESS!

#10- I'm inclined to ask you take MB over again.

    #14- Sounds like Jeremiah 29:11.

    Thnaks for sharing...

  9. Brand loyalty for cameras totally makes sense, especially if you're building an SLR/DSLR system (which you are).

The last two time's I've taken Myers-Briggs, I've come out ENTP. Maybe not surprising to you, but I'm always a bit surprised by the "E."

I hate memoirs. I love your husband.

  10. I'm the same way with contacts. I absolutely HATE wearing my glasses, and the only time I will even consider it is reading in bed. But even so, most times I would rather read in bed with my contacts, then take them out when I'm ready to go to sleep.

  11. I also think earrings are the best accessories and love reading other peoples' stories.
And I LOVE your approach to living in your faith. It's refreshing, to say the least.

  12. Love it! I am also an introvert on Myers Briggs and people disagree with me over this as well. I think its the whole preferring to not go out and party thing.
