KitchenAid Mixer!!

Guess who's getting a KitchenAid mixer for graduation?!?!?!?!

That's right - ME!!  Thank you Mom!!!!!

Now I need your help.  Bruce wants one in the gray matted color, but I have always lusted over the red one.  But then I started thinking about the other appliances in my kitchen and they are all black (with one or two white).  Should I get black?  Or ...

... a completely new color?  There are so many options and I feel like buying a KitchenAid mixer is like getting a tattoo.  They aren't cheap so it is an investment and you can't just buy another one if you decide you want a different color.

  1. REDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!! You KNOW you wanna and you can get the red one at Target and it's CHEAPEST there! Twinkie! ;)

  2. DUDE!! I'm getting one for graduation too!! I'm getting the big 6 quart commercial version and I don't think there are color options though. But I'm a big fan of the stainless steel appliances, they'll always match your kitchen no matter where you move. We will have to get our Kitchen Aids together and do some made cookie baking or something...

  3. I have the red one!! Go for the red, it really brightens up my kitchen and I'm very very that "she's" mine :)

  4. Red is pretty, for sure, but what if your "it" color changes to purple? green? When I got mine, I got the basic white. In retrospect, I'd probably go with the matted grey, stainless, or black instead, but it's AMAZING and you won't regret having one. :-)

  5. I love the red one. And i'd get that one for ME b/c my kitchen accents are red. BUT - for you...hmm...stinks b/c you never know what colors any future kitchens will be! But red will go fine w/ black/white appliances. So will that pretty baby blue-ish one on the bottom right!

    LUCKY! :)

  6. Very cool! I say if everything else is black, go for RED. Give the kitchen a splash of color!

  7. Red! Or that lovely plum. I do love that one.

  8. You know me, I'm with Bruce on this one!
