WOW - I continue to be amazed by all of the support I am getting from everyone on here, facebook, twitter, email, text, phone calls, etc. Thank you thank you thank you. What I am feeling right now is truly grace - unexpected.
We're making our way back to Rehoboth today, so in the meantime I pulled some photos off of my friend (and new church member!) Steve's page to show you all ...
This was during the Exhortation and Examination of the Candidate. It was a lot of "I do" "I will" and "I do, relying on God's grace".
The laying on of hands - it was such a powerful feeling! I was kneeling at the bottom of the pile. By the end my poor legs were shaking.
The church in Kent presented me with this beautiful stole (you wear white during Easter and weddings) and a purple one (for lent!). I decided to take it off and put the red one that my Aunt Coni made me to serve communion. I did that for two reasons. 1 - Her stole has a lot of red in it and that's the color you wear for ordinations and 2 - I was terrified that I would spill grape juice on the brand new white stole.
That would have been embarrassing.
Pilgrimage (in Georgia) also gave me an absolutely gorgeous stole which totally deserves its own post - so stay tuned for that!
I'm still processing everything that happened but I wanted to pop in and say hi. I'm floating right now!
