Or is the phrase "normal cat" an oxymoron?
Onto my day ...
I walked into work bound and determined to have a better day than yesterday. Two of my coworkers and I decided that in order to make the day a better one we needed to start with large cups of coffee and good attitudes.
It worked! I fought with a printer and I won. I redid my blog header (and added and new About Me page - check it out!) and I think I love it. I successfully showed my mom how to put a signature into her e-mails in Entourage from 1,000 miles away. I went to the grocery store during rush hour (this may not seem like a big deal but I loathe the grocery store during rush hour). I ran 2.59 miles in 27:29, averaging a 10:35 pace.
I made sweet potato fries (super easy - recipe to come!).
And then I sent 32 ounces of gatorade flying across my kitchen.
Okay, perhaps the gatorade thing wasn't one of my finer moments. I don't know what is wrong with me! Sometimes when I get back from a run it seems like I can't hold on to anything. When I was over at Tim and Elisabeth's taking pictures of Ephrem the other night I sent my camera flying across the nursery - and then promptly came home and threw a jar of spaghetti sauce across the kitchen.
I feel like Chandler in that episode of Friends where Monica won't let him throw the ball around with the friends because "He's a dropper".
Does anybody else have that issue after a run? Apparently nothing is safe.
I'm off to watch the rest of The Office (did anyone else get a kick out of the opening song?) and try to go to sleep early. We'll see how well I do ...
Goodnight!
I used to get like that after I ran, it's like I was shakey but not, only when I tried to hold onto things like my fingers didn't want to grip for some reason lol!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your new header! Love love love! And I would like your recipe for the sweet potato fries!
ReplyDeleteThe fries look good. The header is awesome! I don't have issues holding onto things, but I can't talk right. I get shaky and I get tongue tied. :o)
ReplyDeleteOh Chandler you crack me up! I've been known to throw stuff across the room accidentally but never after I run. I'm just klutzy all the time:-)
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way after a run or intense workout. I *always* drop my water bottle when leaving the gym. Maybe all the energy's going to recovering so our bodies just take it from our hands. :P
