Getting Hairy

Okay, okay.  I'll leave the fashion tips to my girl Leslie, but I did do something a little bit different with my hair yesterday and I thought it was neat enough to snap some pictures and share.  I love having long hair, but it's brutal with this heat!  This 'do was perfect to tame and keep cool!

I started by pinning my bangs (which are currently in that annoying in-between stage) loosely back.  I pulled my hair into a ponytail and scrunched it to get some natural curls.  After that I took some reasonably sized strands and twisted them up to the root of the ponytail.  I pinned them into the root with long bobbypins.

Everything got sprayed to stay in place and fight back against the humidity.

I love how it was kind of a fancy up-do, but still had some loose strands that made it less formal.

I cannot believe I just tried to offer a hair tutorial, but I was shocked at how easy and quick this was!  And I'm sure it's adaptable depending on your hair length.  Have fun!
