Ummm, yeah. Nine inches.
I shoveled the ENTIRE driveway - but by the time I walked back to the garage another three inches had accumulated where I started!
Oh well. I did my best, right?
If you haven't had a chance, please read the comments on this post! There are some absolutely delicious-sounding snow shoveling comfort foods out there - next time snow is in the forecast, I'm stocking up my pantry!
I wanted to eat through some more of my leftovers, but I was in the mood for something a little bit different. Here's what I did ...
Whole Wheat Pasta With Chili Sauce
1 cup Leftover Chili
1/2 cup Water
2 big handfuls Whole Wheat Pasta
Shredded Cheese
Cooking in three steps - my favorite kind!
1. Boil water, cook pasta, drain pasta.
2. Mix together the chili and water (this thins the chili and creates a sauce-like texture) and heat in a small saucepan.
3. Serve with cheese on top!
This was kind of delicious. PERFECT snow shoveling comfort food!
There is a giant pile of laundry calling my name. Apparently I think I'm some kind of superwoman who shovels snow, washes dishes and folds laundry all in two hour span. Night!
YUM!! ahh that looks so comforting!
ReplyDeleteYum!
ReplyDeleteI'm actualy hoping for a snow day around here. The weather report keeps hinting at one, and then nothing happens...so I'm a little jealous of your snow. And that perfect comfort-food-eating weather.
Look so wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThat's when it's time to just hunker down and watch the snow from inside your nice warm house. :) That pasta and chili sauce sounds incredible!! And definitely a great way to warm up.
