A Wear A Dress Tuesday Written In The Stars

"If you want to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first create the universe." - Dr. Carl Sagan

Isn't that brilliant?  I heard it on CNN this afternoon.  Dr. Sagan was an astronomer and cosmologist.  This quote makes me want to really break down everything I know and use to its core in order to find its potential ...

Happy Wear a Dress Tuesday!  I hope you all had a wonderful day!  I definitely had a WADT-induced spring in my step all day.  There is just something about strutting around in heels and dress that makes me feel beautiful and confident.

First up - lunch!

Leftover fried rice with a side of baby carrots.  It was delicious, but not really filling.  I was actually thinking of sneaking out to Starbucks for a giant cookie, when one of my coworkers came into our office and said the IT department was having lunch and had leftovers!

I made a small plate of nachos, with pico de gallo, guacomole, mozzarella cheese and black beans!  For those of you Atlanta folks - it was catered from Willy's.  I am definitely going to miss this place when we move!

Dinner was quick and simple.  I was planning on a 2 mile run when I got home, but traffic was a hot mess this afternoon and it took forever to get home.  It was already dark when I got home and I'm not sure I feel safe running in the dark without Bruce.  I decided for a cozy night in and made a pizza.  Less to clean and more time to relax!

Simple, but it did the trick!  Served with a side of italian dressing.

The weather in Atlanta has been SO wanky lately.  It was 40 degrees when I rode into work, but warmed up into the mid-70s!  My spring/summer dresses are packed!  I pulled out a dress that can actually be worn year-round, depending on how you layer.

The dress is H&M, the boots are Target and the pashmina I bought to dress the altar of an Advent service I planned last year. :)

Time for NCIS!  Do you know how Anchor's Aweigh is the song for the Navy?  What is the song for the Army?  The dead guy on NCIS had Anchor's Aweigh as his ringtone and I told Bruce we should call Gib and tell him to put the Army song as his ringtone.  But we can't remember what it is ...

And now that I think of it, it's probably inappropriate to tell someone to mimic their ringtone after a dead character on a fictional television show.

Have a great night!
